Koby Jones
Group Managing Director
Koby Jones is the founder, AFSL Responsible Manager and Group Managing Director of The SILC Group. He is responsible for driving the growth of the business, setting strategic direction, risk management and business development activities of The SILC Group alongside the leadership team.
Prior to establishing The SILC Group, Koby enjoyed a highly successful career in global financial markets and private wealth management with major financial institutions Westpac Banking Corporation, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, National Australia Bank and Wilson HTM Investment Group.
He holds numerous qualifications including the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Course, Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Program, a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Commercial Law, Finance) through Deakin University, Diploma in Financial Advising from the Securities Institute of Australia (now Kaplan Professional), and Advanced Certificate in Management Skills from RMIT; as well as having various industry certifications which include the Margin Lending Accreditation Program, Accredited Derivatives Adviser (Level 1), and Diploma of Financial Services from the Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA).
Koby is an active investor in alternative assets including venture capital, private equity, private credit and property development. He is also on the Board of Directors at the Northern Health Foundation, is a Director of the SILC Philanthropic Foundation, and is a member of Family Business Australia (FBA), the AICD and CPA Australia.

Michelle Tay
Group Executive Director
Michelle Tay is the Group Executive Director, AFSL Responsible Manager and Head of Group Services at The SILC Group. Her key responsibilities encompasses oversight of the company’s financial management, taxation and regulatory compliance, and operational risk management as well as investor relations and communication.
Michelle is an experienced banking and finance executive, with particular experience in syndicated corporate and structured financing, agency services and corporate management. During her tenure at the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, she managed a portfolio of large complex syndicated corporate and structured finance transactions across multiple industries and geographies. She also has extensive experience in business and corporate banking, property development financing and corporate management across all areas of business operations, financial management and taxation and regulatory compliance.
She holds various qualifications including the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course, Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) program, Masters of Applied Finance through the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (now KAPLAN Professional) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) through Monash University.
She is Chairwoman of the SILC Philanthropic Foundation and is also a member of AICD, CPA Australia and Family Business Australia (FBA).

Camila Coehlo
Manager, Portfolio Solutions
Camila Coelho is Manager, Portfolio Solutions at The SILC Group. Her main responsibilities include fund administration and operations, investor relations and communications. She is also responsible for internal project management.
Camila has almost 10 years of experience working with alternative investments, with a focus on real estate and loan portfolios. Her previous experience includes major independent asset management groups and securities companies in Brazil, where she was responsible for asset management, modelling, pricing, negotiation, and deal structuring. She also worked at Philip Morris International as part of the Latin America and Canada Operations Finance Team in Mexico.
Camila graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Brazil.

James Hill
Head of Technology
James is an experienced senior executive with more than 20 years’ experience gained in pivotal technology and operational roles for large iconic companies such as iiNet, Asgard (Westpac), TSA (Telstra) as well as CEO & Chairman of IT consulting company Bluebox Solutions. More recently James was CEO of Ettle, which pioneered the very first ever wage payment using an Australian Dollar stablecoin on the blockchain.
James has a unique combination of C-suite executive experience and innovative technology start-up expertise. As a financial services and technology executive, James has led large teams and served on company Boards delivering operational strategy, project implementation, digital strategy, financial management and product development.
James holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Murdoch University.

Jaskomal Kaur
Head of Fund Accounting
Jas Kaur is the Head of Fund Accounting at The SILC Group, responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and operations functions of funds and investment entities. She plays a key role in driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across the business.
Jas is a seasoned accounting and finance executive with over 18 years of experience in accounting, financial management, and taxation across diverse industries. Prior to joining The SILC Group, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Responsible Manager at a leading wealth and funds management firm with $2.8 billion in assets under management, where she led financial operations, strategic planning, and risk management initiatives.
Jas is a Fellow of the Certified Practicing Accountants (FCPA) and a registered Tax Agent. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Commerce, along with a Diploma in Business Finance. Committed to continuous learning, she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Taxation Law at Curtin University to stay ahead of evolving tax regulations.
Jas combines deep technical expertise with a strategic mindset, empowering businesses to achieve financial sustainability and growth through informed decision-making, operational excellence, and strong leadership.

Lessi Liu
Manager, Portfolio Solutions
Lessi Liu is a Manager within the Portfolio Solutions division at The SILC Group. She is responsible for managing a portfolio of investment manager relationships and works closely with clients to comprehensively structure and establish suitably tailored funds as well as overseeing and attending to ongoing administrative activities.
Prior to joining The SILC Group, Lessi spent five years serving institutional funds management clients and covering a range of strategies including multi-asset, fixed income and private credit. She is experienced in all facets of portfolio construction and management including assisting clients with defining investment objectives and investment universe, formulating portfolio strategy, constructing portfolio through asset allocation and investment selection as well as ongoing portfolio management. With her actuarial background, she also has deep mathematical and technical knowledge in financial and credit risk modelling, unlisted asset valuation, portfolio optimisation and performance analytics.
She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Melbourne (Actuarial Studies / Statistics and Finance). She is also an alumni of London School of Economics (Macroeconomics) and University of California Berkeley (Entrepreneurship).

Jen Tan
Manager, Portfolio Solutions
Jen Tan is a Manager, within the Portfolio Solutions divisions at The SILC Group. She is responsible for managing a portfolio of investment manager relationships and works closely with clients to comprehensively structure and establish suitably tailored funds as well as overseeing and attending to ongoing administrative activities.
Jen joined The SILC Group in 2021 after 3 years with TAEL Partners, a South-east asia based growth private equity fund manager where she served as Associate in the investor relations team. Here, her responsibilities spanned capital fundraising and fund portfolio monitoring. Prior to TAEL, Jen was involved in community fundraising at the Dane County, Wisconsin chapter of United Way Worldwide where she conducted workplace campaigns and raised funds from Madison’s corporate community.
Jen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ben Cohen
Advisory Board Member
Ben has extensive Board and Senior Executive experience in Financial Services, Manufacturing Corporations, Not-For-Profit, Education and Entrepreneurial organisations. His experience includes Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Banking, IT, Accounting & Manufacturing.
Ben is currently a Board Member of Frontier Services and a member of the Uniting Church in Australia National Assembly Investment Advisory Committee, and Managing Director of Quantum Change Consultants.
Some of his previous Directorships include: Swinburne University; cvMail; Elders Finance; Potter Warburg; Uniting Church National Assembly Audit, Finance and Risk Committee; Methodist Ladies College; and Victorian State President of CPA Australia.Senior Executive positions he has held include: Chief Executive Officer of cvMail; Director of Finance and Administration Potter Warburg (subsequently UBS); Director of Elders Finance Group which was at that time, the largest Merchant Bank in Australia; a member of the Certification Council of Bureau Veritas Quality International; Director of the Australian Continuous Improvement Group (the Australian arm of Cap Gemini); and a Group Financial Controller of ICI Australia (now Orica Ltd).
Ben is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and he holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of New South Wales.

Roland Matrenza
Advisory Board Member
Roland Matrenza is an Advisory Board Member of The SILC Group being involved at a strategic level into the business model and value proposition.
Roland’s Banking and Financial services career spans more than 40 years having held a number of Senior Executive roles at the National Australia Bank Group. Roland’s responsibilities encompassed Group strategy development and strategic planning, Group capital policy and management and investment prioritisation, mergers , acquisitions and divestments, Group performance management , investor relations and government relations, Group corporate affairs and communications, Group program office and strategic portfolio analysis, economics and research, transformational change management and business development and sponsorship of new ventures.
As a Group EGM and a member of the Group Executive Committee, Roland also sat on a number of group decision making and steering committees including Group Capital & Asset and Liability (ALCO), Group Risk Policy, Board and Management Lending Committee, Group Strategy Committee, People Assessment and Talent panel, Wealth Management, E-Commerce and Technology and the Strategic Projects’ Assessment Committee. Roland also served on several Banking Industry committees and was a past Chairman of the Australian Bankers Association Executive Committee.
Roland has considerable directorship and governance experience as a Group Executive and an Executive Director/Chairman on numerous wholly owned NAB subsidiaries in Australia, UK, Ireland and New Zealand Operations comprising commercial banks, superannuation and trustee boards, insurance, credit card, leasing, nominee services, custodial services, funds administration services and health funds processing and administration and the Banking Ombudsman.

Bryan Waters
Advisory Board Member
Bryan Waters is an Advisory Board Member of The SILC Group and includes involvement in the implementation of the vision and business development of the operations.
He has over 30 years’ experience at Senior Executive and board level in the financial services industry, followed by 15 years in Leadership and Management Consulting providing career direction, coaching and business support to many leading Melbourne based executives and managers. He commenced his career with the National Australia Bank serving in various senior roles in Australia, United States, UK and Asia which culminated into Senior Executive appointments within the bank’s Melbourne headquarters. Bryan then moved to the Bank of Melbourne following its conversion from a building society to a full banking licence where he was Executive Director and Chief General Manager for Banking.
Bryan has held several non-executive board positions which complements his extensive business experience, and included Chairman of a small Private Equity firm, taking a start up to IPO and merging that company with AAV Ltd (Staging Connections Group Limited; which became an ASX Listed company) where he was a Director and Chairman. Other directorships include Chairman of the logistics company Gaffneys Event logistics.
Bryan was Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia, a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; and he has an accreditation in MRG Leadership LEA and Personal Directors, Diploma of Business (RMIT) and Advanced Management Program from the University of NSW.
